Second-Year Admission Requirements After completing your first-year courses, you must go through a review to ensure that you have the skills and knowledge to complete the interior design program. In addition to semester-long options, architecture faculty propose shorter, three-week offerings at the beginning of each summer.
Students applying to the College of Design declare a major as part of the application. Once admitted to the BS major you can begin taking design studios and other major-only coursework.

The transfer of coursework and portfolios from other institutions are considered on a case-by-case basis. Students need a minimum of 30 credits completed, and the preferred overall minimum GPA is 2. In addition to your transcript, the major degree application includes work samples and written essays. About the program. Studio-based learning Architecture education in our pre-professional degree program is structured around five semester-long design studios addressing core learning areas: material assemblies, site considerations, program considerations, urban design, and advanced design.
